RACEHORSE REHOMING: ANGEL

Updated: May 29

UPDATE: Angel has been rehomed, I cannot wait to follow his Journey

Angel is a stunning, heavy-set, 4-year-old, 16.1 hh bay gelding. He is sound, easy to be around and definitely a "good doer". Like all horses he has a couple of small quirks, the main one is that he is happy to use his weight to make decisions about where he wants to go when being led. I have always found him very easy to be around when I was treating him. He is fairly lightly raced with only 11 starts. One of his trackwork riders says "Honestly I really like him. (Angel) will make a nice pony, he is pretty quiet for a racehorse....he is good around other horses as well, he will need an experienced person to retrain him but I don't think it would take long. I hope he finds a good home." A second trackwork rider said " I have taken him to the beach a few times, he is pretty straightforward, was easy to take out. He does not grab the bit at all."

He would be a nice all-rounder. I see him doing working equitation, trail riding, adult riding club, classical dressage, liberty, beach rides, jumping and being the best mate. I am told he is good with other horses and I have seen him beside other horses both in the stable and in large yards.

He has the normal wear and tear of a horse who has raced. The vet tells me he has a mildly stiff left fetlock, with no effusion, it has not needed treatment and coping well with his racing work.

He will need an experienced person to help guide him through his transition to a new career. You will need to be someone I know or can be vouched for by someone I know

Please fill out an EOI form to register your interest in Angel. If you have filled one out for another horse recently, please just let me know if you wish to be considered for Angel.
