RACEHORSE REHOMING: POSSUM

Possum is a 5 year old bay mare, approximately 16hh and sound. Her last race was 28 October and it has been decided to rehome her rather than persist with a career she has decided to say no to. Anyone who knows me, knows I never put a horse's racing name in their ads but in this case I feel it is relevant information. Possum raced as Gwendie and, yes, she was named after the late Gwenda Markwell. The reason I think it is relevant is that there is a remarkable amount of similarities between them, personality wise.

Possum will need an experienced person to help guide her as she transitions from racing. I feel she would make an awesome all-rounder. Once you are friends with her, you are friends for life but, you will need to prove you are trustworthy, She is a great mare and one I have a strong emotional bond with. There is no doubt she has challenged me, especially early on but so worth it to receive her trust. I have treated her throughout her racing career. I am really looking forward to watching as she blossoms into the non-racing Possum.
