UPDATE: Flossy has received an amazing gift. A trusted retrainer has offered to work with her and guide her through the transition to post-racing life. Her new person will explore with her to find out what she really likes to do and then find a wonderful long-term home. I am excited to watch her become the amazing horse I know she is.
Flossy is a stunning, 16hh thoroughbred mare. She is sound, bay, 4 years old and she decided racing was not for her. She has only had 2 trials and 1 race. Flossy has a bit of spice in her personality which I really like in a horse. She will need an experienced person to retrain and support her in her post racing life. She strikes me as a competitive girl in the right hands with a job she likes.
I feel like she would be best suited to showjumping, eventing or similar. She is a good communicator and you will never be left guessing about what she thinks. She has mostly travelled on a truck so will need to be retrained to a float. She seems to be good with other horses and enjoys space to run and graze. I do not think she would thrive in an environment where she was primarily stabled. I think she will blossom having one person to ride and look after her.
I have treated her 3 times and always found her to be responsive and easy to be around,
You will need to be someone I know, or can be vouched for by someone I know.
