RACEHORSE REHOMING: EJ

EJ is a 5-year-old, bay thoroughbred gelding. He is 16.1hh (best guess) and loves cuddles, he is a nice horse to be around. He is approximately 16.1hh. One of the ex-staff member still pops in for some "EJ loving"".  He decided a bit "Chautauqua style" not to pursue his racing career. The humans said he is not coping with the physical demands of racing. I like the first version best, he is retiring sound. He has had 16 starts, is currently spelling, his last race was 19 February 2025.

He is easy to do anything with, including floating, farriering, and handling on the ground. He has a minor knee issue that would need managing, some mild degeneration left knee. He is nice under saddle but can at times be "resistant". That has been put down to his knee not handling the racing life. He is suitable for low-level anything, trail riding, and would not look out of place in a show ring.

We are looking for a kind home, willing to transition him to life after racing at his own pace. Ideally, you will have some experience in this area or have a trainer who will assist you.

You will need to be someone I know or can be vouched for by someone I know and you will need to meet him in person.
