RACEHORSE REHOMING: BOOTS

Boots is a one of a kind, rising 5year old, approx 16hh, brown, Thoroughbred gelding. He is a favourite in the stable because of his personality. He is also seriously handsome. Boots is lightly raced with only 5 starts. He started his career in Victoria before moving to NSW to his current trainer who is also his owner.

Boots is playful, cheeky and makes people smile when they see him. I certainly do. He is also handsome and nicely put together. The trackwork riders say he is energetic and enthusiastic, loves getting out and seeing what is going on around the place. He is safe on the road and good to ride. His box in the stables allows him to embrace his sticky beak nature.

Boots would love a home that could provide variety in his life. I feel he would also enjoy liberty, trail riding, working equitation, classical dressage, low level jumping or eventing, a bit of a gallop, beach rides, holidays with his person, maybe even farm life.....you get the picture. He is certainly handsome enough for showing. His playfulness can make him a bit mouthy. He is sound. Good for the farrier and to float. He is used to an angle load so you would need to be retrained if you have a straight load. He is retiring because he has shown no real interest in racing.

You will need to be someone I know or can be vouched for by someone I know. Ideally, you will be experienced in transitioning a racehorse to another career or have a trainer who can guide you. He is not for beginners or people needing a confidence booster. He is a fully fit, young horse with energy. A vet check is welcome at your expense if you want it.
