RACEHORSE REHOMING: ANNIE

Where do I start with this stunning mare? This is Annie, a 5 year old thoroughbred mare with both Danehill and Octagonal lines. She is a beautiful bay/brown mare depending on the light and season. I always love spending time with her. She has been to the beach as part of her training and gets transported to races on an angle float. Last raced on 7 May and will need some time to unracehorse. She is sound and approximately 15.3hh (maybe be slightly smaller) and a medium build. She needs a small to medium rider.

Annie is easy to handle in every way and was always calm at the races. She sometimes looks like a classical thoroughbred and other times like a stockhorse. She has a good brain on her and could suit pony club, farm work or anything else with the right partner to guide her. I see her as the perfect all-rounder, and it would be awesome for someone to explore what she would love to do. With the right retraining, she would make an awesome teenager's horse. We think she would love to go to a family who will adore her, she will love you back ten fold.

Ideally, you will need to be someone I know or can be vouched for by someone I know. If not, I will need a verbal reference from your vet or similar. You will be experienced in transitioning a racehorse to another career or have a trainer who can guide you. She is not for beginners or people needing a confidence booster. A vet check is welcome at your expense if you want it.
